Scope:

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for successful implementation of operational, technical and client projects from initiation to closing. They are expected to utilize their knowledge and training to determine the degree to which steps of the process apply for each unique project. They are expected to have strong organizational and coordination skills, have project coordination/management experience, and the ability to multitask. An ideal candidate for this position possesses strong communication skills, is persuasive, considers others viewpoints, organized, follows through, willingness to change and adapt, and possesses required project management knowledge.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead/direct enhancements to existing applications, providing focus, direction and documentation.
Track, prioritize, assign, and manage continuing stream of support request from both internal and external sources.
Client-facing, with responsibility for providing status and collaborating on launch, enhancement, and support requests.
Work with requestors, client team resources, and CFS resources to obtain requirements.
Project manage creation of estimates for incoming requests.
Classify and prioritize requests in terms of business value as input into recommending priorities.
Mange tickets in Jira and TFS to maintain proper state and follows SOPs to work enhancements through the SDLC.
Send meeting notes and updated issue logs before and after meetings.
Handle escalations for quick turnaround enhancements working with department and requestors/escalation points.
Develop and maintain SOPs for processes.
Use time system reporting to track project expenses and report variance to budget.
Project manage through the SDLC all enhancements approved for each Major software release.
This role also participates in the rotation of coordinating the Major and Minor software releases.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline with an information technology focus or equivalent experience. Two years technology-related project management and/or business experience.
Considers feasibility of project through analysis of timeframe requirements, resources needed, procedures to accomplish the project, estimated expense and justification of technology recommendations.
Ability to determine which steps and phases of process apply to each unique project.
Knowledge of project phases and goals accomplished within each phase (including requirements gathering, analysis and design, release and versions control, and deployment management).
Intermediate knowledge of project methodology tools.
Previous experience with Project Management in a large organization dealing with diverse groups within that organization.
Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously.
Ability to present project information (scope, timeline, general status) in a concise, summary view.
