Candidate 1:

Alex is not a great fit to hit the ground running for our immediate needs. Generally speaking he came off as a good, methodical problem solver. However in order to hit the ground running with our team / style / codebase an intermediate level of understanding of the following are more or less required and were not demonstrated by Alex:

* typescript / generic typings
* functional composition
* functional reactive programming with streams
* manipulating arrays
* gathering contextual information from DOM nodes
* proficiency with javascript testing frameworks (jest/enzyme)
* deep proficiency with surface level react API (context in particular)
* deep conceptual knowledge / judgement with regard to state management pattern

Candidate2:
Marc is not a great fit to hit the ground running for our immediate needs. Marc had good process. In particular I feel his approach to testing was very reasonable. It was also great to hear his opinions on code organization and commenting. However, I feel that Marc did not demonstrate an at-the-bar level of understanding of the following important knowledge/skills necessary to hit the ground running:

* typescript / generic typings
* functional composition
* functional reactive programming with streams
* manipulating arrays
* deep conceptual knowledge of state management patterns

or wherever after.
