Job Description

Administrative Assistant

1 year contract to start

New York, NY 10121

Responsibilities:

  • Performs basic clerical skills required for the operation of a business office
  • Operates all office machines and equipment including computers, printers copiers, postage meters, and adding machines; understands computers and the procedures necessary to produce, store and retrieve data; keeps stored computer information and library up-to-date Answers telephones
  • Receives and routes messages Opens and routes all incoming mail according to established procedures and distributes mail internally
  • Weighs, stamps, and prepares all outgoing mail including certified, express, and other special delivery services required
  • Prepares payment requests; submits same for approval
  • Sets up new files as needed
  • Keeps filing up to date
  • Performs other duties as required
