Job Description

The unit develops and supports applications ranging from off-the-shelf cash management packages to enterprise-level custom accounting systems. Seeking an Automated Testing Architect who will ensure automated testing architecture is consistent across numerous business lines by assisting project teams on the use of technology to maximize business benefits and efficiency. The Architect will work with teams of developers, testers and application architects to implement consistent approaches to automated testing. The Architect must have an understanding of modern automated testing approaches, technologies, frameworks and architectures. The Architect will establish common practices and tool standards and work across the organization to implement them.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and promote the use of industry standard automated testing practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and solutions in the development of a common Selenium framework and reusable automated testing components to support Treasury Division applications in their transition to automated testing.
  • Develop prototypes and reference architectures to be leveraged by application teams.
  • Actively participate in code and design walkthroughs of automated testing implementations across the division.
  • Work with teams and leadership to develop meaningful metrics around automated testing.
  • Drive standardization and innovation of automated testing in areas such as: o Selenium frameworks o Automated testing code review o BDD Tools such as Cucumber o Integration of automated testing with the development pipeline

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent field of study or commensurate experience
  • 3+ year experience using a mainstream automated testing tool (e.g. Selenium) in a technical capacity.
  • 7+ years development experience in enterprise-level applications using Java or similar language.
  • Experience working as an Architect or comparable experience in a Senior or Leadership technical role.
  • Experience with Spring (Core, Security, Data/JPA, Boot, Batch, Integration, LDAP), and Hibernate a plus.
  • Experience with UNIX / Linux operating systems a plus.
  • Experience with SOAP or RESTFul web services a plus.
  • Have excellent communications skills (both written and verbal) and strong ability to work with internal and external constituents at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong ability to write meaningful, complex documents such as software development specifications, network and other architectural diagrams and architecture proposals.
  • Travel (10%)
