Cloud Security Engineer




As a member of our client's DevSecOps team, you'll demonstrate a deep understanding of network security, protocols, secure coding, code pipeline integration, and other DevSecOps skills. AWS skills are a must as well as the ability to engage at a technical, hands-on level with platforms and tools that are hosted on premise or may be migrating to cloud environments. You possess a strong aptitude for learning new technologies, and driving complex projects to completion with strong collaboration across multiple cross-functional teams. You have both code and infrastructure skills, leverage open source, and use these to get things done.




Responsibilities:



  • Enable network, database, application and other engineering teams to move fast, but be secure.

  • Integrate automated security checks into our Jenkins based code pipelines.

  • Develop local and cloud based tools to validate the security of applications and data at runtime and at rest.

  • Leverage devops tools and an engineering approach to impose security at all levels of the stack.

  • Design and implement AWS/Cloud based DevSecOps processes and tools.

  • Build security reference architectures for cloud and locally deployed scenarios.

  • Leverage machine learning and automation to identify and respond to security incidents. This includes identification of application, network and storage vulnerabilities.

  • Assist and train team members in the use of cloud security tools and the resolution of security issues

  • Stay current. You'll need to be on top of current security industry trends, regulations and impending risks.




Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology or related field



  • Strong understanding of AWS architecture and services, and experience deploying security controls to on-prem and AWS environments supporting DevSecOps.

  • Strong understanding cloud access security brokers (CASB) and experience with CASB deployment.

  • Strong experience with DevOps tools and an engineering approach to impose security at all levels of the stack.



  • Experience designing, administering, and/or maintaining the security of cloud or on-premise DevSecOps environments.

  • Experience with SIEM, IPS/IDS, security operations, incident analysis, incident handling, vulnerability management or testing, log analysis, and forensics.

  • In depth understanding of possible attack vectors such as network probing/ scanning, DDOS, malicious code activity and possible abnormal activities, such as worms, Trojans, viruses, etc.

  • Relevant development/scripting experience in languages such as Python, Java, Go, Bash or Ruby.

  • Broad technology background with understanding of server virtualization, database, storage and networking.

  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) including VPC, ELB, IAM, KMS, EC2, Config, CloudTrail, CloudFormation, S3 or others is a plus. AWS certified engineers will receive maximum consideration.
