Description


Responsible for the control and operations of the Corporate Supply Chain and Purchasing Department. Develop policies, procedures, and objectives for the Company's supply chain in accordance with corporate objectives. Recommend improvements in the overall supply chain process which will advance the interests of the Corporation. Reports to: Vice President of Manufacturing


Essential Duties



  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute strategic projects across all company divisions.

  • Assist internal customers to identify and implement business process improvements with existing external suppliers.

  • Lead internal business process re-engineering for assigned project areas to increase internal productivity and process quality.

  • Facilitate supplier selection and negotiate contracts for key strategic initiatives.

  • Lead the coordination of business development and technology resources to develop advanced, collaborative supply chain solution applications for client implementation.

  • Plan and manage studies and investigations pertaining to the maintenance/modification of current systems and the development of new systems to meet current and projected needs.

  • Develop and implement programs that minimize component costs.

  • Maintain working knowledge of the latest industry trends and practices by involvement in Supply Chain Management organizations.

  • Furnish purchase analysis and cost data for use in scheduling, planning, budgeting, and other functional activities.

  • Manage and maintain the Supplier Purchasing System.

  • Develop and maintain an ongoing cost reduction process.

  • Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.

  • APICS or CPM certification desired.

  • Five years of experience in materials management or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of mainframe computing applications and capabilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft® Word and Excel.

  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in inventory control, purchasing, and negotiation.
