Event Coordinator ( Marketing )

6 Months Contract

Cambridge, MA 02142

****Must be able to travel to Houston March 6-15, 2019.

Will be working on an event which brings together key energy industry executives, government officials, and energy adjacent leaders to discuss the global and regional energy future by addressing key issues-from markets and geopolitics to technology, project costs, energy and the environment, finance, operational excellence and cyber risks.

The role of Event Coordinator supports the Private and Special Programs, including Leadership Circle, Women in Energy, and Future Energy Leaders, among others. These programs are an integral part of the engagement with our partners, key industry executives, and important initiatives.

This role entails working closely with the Program leads to support the development of the various private events including:

  • Supporting program development and outreach through effective program management
  • Collaborating closely with the various other teams impacted by these programs, including operations, partnership delivery, marketing, and digital
  • Ensuring that nominees to participate are reviewed and approved in a timely manner by leadership
  • Managing participant registration, including collection of photos and bios
  • Supporting development of printed and digital materials for each program
  • Supporting events onsite in Houston, as required

Recommended skills to succeed in this position include:

  • Attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills, including ability to develop project workflow and timeline, daily tracking of milestones, ensuring various deadlines are met by self and colleagues
  • Comfort working with external partners, sponsors and vendors
  • Familiarity with a CRM / registration system such as eTouches or Cvent
  • Ability to work with team members in multiple locations
  • A great positive attitude
