Job Description

Financial Analyst




Summary Provides financial support for corporate departments. Generates forecasts and reports results, establishes benchmarks, and assists with budgeting process. Supports senior management with financial reporting and analysis. Assists with daily financial operations and analysis of small businesses within the Maritz portfolio. Takes initiative, enjoys ad hoc analysis and problem solving.





  • Scope

  • Supports corporate department heads with financial planning/budgeting, forecasting, reporting actuals, and other budgeting requirements. No direct reports.

  • Reporting and Working Relationships

  • Reports to the Manager, Financial Analysis. A high level of contact with internal Maritz personnel is required including senior management, corporate department heads, and finance directors. Potential interaction with external groups.


Primary Responsibilities



  • • 50%

  • Supports corporate department heads with financial planning/budgeting, forecasting, reporting actuals, and other budgeting requirements requested by the Manger, Financial Analysis. Meets with department heads monthly. Performs expense accruals and ensures that all transactions are properly recorded.

Develops complex financial tools in Excel used to analyze business results and inform decision making. Performs ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling as requested

• 25%
Develops metrics and identifies key performance indicators to evaluate business performance. Creates financial scorecards for department leaders

Qualifications



  • .1. Bachelor's degree in Finance required

  • 2. 3-5 years of finance experience.

  • .3. Advanced Excel and analytical skills required (query and analyze large sets of data).

  • 4. Strong analytical and problem solving skills required

  • 5. Ability to work effectively with others at all levels of the organization.

  • 6. Excellent organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised and independently.

  • 7. Professional oral and written communication skills.
