Fire Sprinkler Systems Technician



Pay Rate $27.00 - $30.00 /hr DOE



3 Months contract-to-possible hire



Golden, CO 80401



**** Must have a valid driver's license / clean MVR



Position Overview:


The Sprinkler System Technician is responsible for the daily maintenance, operation, testing/monitoring and troubleshooting of Fire Sprinkler Systems throughout the facility.



Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Safely and efficiently maintain, repair Facility Fire Sprinkler Systems and upgrade where applicable.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals and product manuals to maintain system design/performance, as well as verify new systems.

  • Assist with, and ensure proper completion of work performed by team members and Contractors.

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on all types of systems including dry pipe, wet pipe, pre-action, deluge, foam, fire pumps and standpipes.

  • Evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot systems that require servicing.

  • Respond to Building Evacuations, support facility Security Officers during and operate FACP's at direction of Security and/or Fire Departments.

  • Professionally communicate system performance/status to Client.

  • Modify Systems and infrastructure as needed to comply with any requirements.

  • Work with fire system technicians during annual and semi-annual inspections.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Must be willing to be in the on-call rotation



Qualifications:



  • Must have a State of Colorado Sprinkler fitters license.

  • 1 year fire sprinkler fitting experience. (Required)

  • Knowledge of computer operation and technologies related to fire sprinkler, security and other fire alarm systems preferred.

  • Ability to read and decipher schematics and follow written instruction while under minor supervision.

  • NICET Certification (preferred)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work under supervision, with customers and employees/peers at all levels of an organization.
