Job Description


  • This will be a project manager role within the HR team in a role that is unique and different than a business or IT project manager role.

  • This individual manages the activities and people associated with the project and the success of that project. The candidate needs to be politically savvy, creative with relationships and have the ability to keep the project moving forward.

  • They will need to understand how to develop milestones and stakeholder plans and work with change management.



  • This role is part of the Strategy and Planning team within Human Resources and accountable for driving HR led projects that have the most significant impact on HR strategy, value, and / or employee experience.



  • Typical activities include: articulating the business need, stakeholder opinion, defining what success looks like, determining resource requirements - roles / responsibilities, meeting cadence, project infrastructure, providing project status reports and escalating risks and issues when needed.



  • This individual has a strong business acumen, ability to work with a variety of personalities, broker consensus, stakeholder and manage up.

  • The project management on this team is more of an art than a science and requires a very flexible approach.


Qualifications



  • Requires a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business and four to six years consulting experience preferred.



  • Eight to twelve years overall experience, and four years in project management. Prior project management experience is required but it doesn't need to be heavy project management experience.

  • Human Resources experience is critical. The ideal candidate will need to have HR experience, understand how HR operates, understand strategic operations and help to create the project structure.

  • Prior change management experience is important.

  • Organization skills and being detailed oriented is important.

  • Will work with executive level teams and other project teams and will need to understand everyone's roles and responsibilities along with understanding the scope and purpose of the project, how to keep the project moving forward and how to keep everyone informed during the process.

  • Must have advanced PowerPoint skills and intermediate to advanced level Excel skills
