Job Description

  • Assisting various legal teams in a confidential manner with administrative, clerical, and organizational tasks with limited supervision.

  • Legal assistant will assist with travel arrangements, mailing correspondence and email, setting up conference calls and meetings, assist with bill processing, and help attorneys with writing letters and documents as well as heavy filing on a regular basis.

  • Legal assistant will also maintain in timely fashion physical files of various legal matters and work with legal assistants, executive secretary, and paralegals on various tasks.


  • Requires high school diploma/GED. An associate's degree or Certificate of Proficiency-Legal Secretary is highly preferred.

  • Three or more years of secretarial or administrative experience required.

  • Three or more years of demonstrated experience as an in-house or law firm legal secretary is preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in all MS Office applications, with expertise in Word (including tracking changes).

  • Experience with document management software.

  • Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently and independently, multitask, and stay organized and focused.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, working within the Legal department, other internal departments and outside parties.

  • Solid oral and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional time management skills including ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting requests.

  • Affinity for adapting with various personalities and work styles, and the ability to successfully produce in that environment.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Able to work varied hours.
