Description


Facilitate in the sales process by promoting products to potential and existing customers. Provide application-engineering support to customers for Power Systems Group products. Motivate Sales Representatives with training, conduct product presentations and seminars for customers, and participate in industry functions. Assist in product planning and marketing programs. Reports to: Regional Sales Manager


Essential Duties



  • Present products to customers by providing technical expertise through the different phases of the sales process. Recommend products to meet the customer's needs through feature-benefit selling.

  • Assist customers in the proper application, selection, installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of Power Systems Group products.

  • Train Sales Representatives, customers, and other Basler employees on technical matters relating to all Power Systems Group products.

  • Handle correspondence with customers and Sales Representatives on matters relating to applications, technical support, and other activities that are deemed necessary.

  • Present Products and systems to customers at various seminars held throughout the year, including Regional Seminars, Annual Applications School, Annual Power Products Conference, and others, as necessary.

  • Collect and process competitive information.

  • Assist in development of product strategies at assigned accounts in conjunction with Sales Representative and Sales Managers.

  • When required, assist in the product planning and technical research required for new products.

  • Assist in the product introduction marketing programs and test market coordination with appropriate marketing personnel.

  • Present and write technical papers for industry conferences and seminars.

  • When required, assist in developing and implementing marketing programs, including advertising, mail list management and direct mailings, trade shows and technical conferences, and publicity.

  • Initiate the transmittal of product technical literature or other information because of customer requests.

  • Arrange and conduct meetings with customers at the factory as necessary.

  • Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and/or Licensed Professional Engineer in related field, and/or a technical equivalence degree.

  • One to three years of experience in a related field.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% into the assigned territory.
