Job Description

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ability to create conceptual schedule for project development through early-FEL/FEED scheduling plans and audit contractor execution of late-FEL/FEED through Start Up schedule plans as required to meet business objectives and commitments for the project
  • Provides owner role scheduling services to the Chemours Project Team
  • Provide early schedule analysis in support of business investment options.
  • Drives standardization into scheduling process and directs function oversight to any contracted scheduling services
  • Ensures appropriate schedule detail level is utilized based on project execution requirements and project phase
  • Ensures schedules are properly loaded with project resources to facilitate schedule analysis
  • Ensure key metrics and benchmarks (internal and external) are in place to effectively gauge schedule performance and promote continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the schedule supports the change management process
  • Develop and maintain applicable scheduling tools, implement new applications as appropriate, and serve as a guardian of business proprietary scheduling information.
  • Develop and maintain 'owner' planning & scheduling procedures and standard practices as required.
  • Enable contractor understanding of required Integrated Project Scheduling IPS practices and procedures.

To be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Has experience in and must be able to provide responsibilities outlined above
  • 10+ years of heavy industrial Project scheduling experience for both engineering and construction
  • Proficient user of Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project scheduling software's
  • Ability to manage multiple project tasks and quickly initiate changes in plan when appropriate
  • Ability to effectively interact with and influence people at all levels within and outside of Chemours
  • Ability to travel (up to 30%)

The following skill sets are preferred

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Technical/Engineering background or experience
  • Familiarity with SAP, industry cost reporting techniques and responsibilities
  • Ability to conduct schedule risk analysis with software such as Acumen or Primavera Risk Analysis
