Summary:


As a member of the Emerging Technology Research and Engineering function in the Federal Reserve End Point Services, designs, develops and supports the implementation information security for the desktop computing environment and the associated back office infrastructure and services.


Responsibilities:



  • Designs application control technologies

  • Designs Active Directory group policy security configurations

  • Designs Active Directory organizational unit and security

  • Maintains laboratory security development environment

  • Develop detailed technical documentation for a broad set of Information Security configurations

  • Performs technical risk assessments of new technology

  • Perform vulnerability assessments

  • Provides level 3 problem resolution for security problems and issues

  • Performs other Information Security tasks as directed by management







Requirements:




  • Strong security background in deploying Microsoft technology solutions

  • Outstanding organization, documentation management, interpersonal, & problem solving skills

  • Strong understanding of Active Directory group policy design and user and group administration

  • Strong familiarity with risk assessment methodologies

  • Strong understanding of vulnerability assessment and vulnerability management methodologies

  • Strong understanding of new and emerging technologies research methodologies

  • Strong understanding of information technology industry compliance regulations

  • Strong understanding of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification preferred

  • ITILv3 Foundations (or higher) certification preferred



Education and Experience:




  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field desired

  • Minimum 8 years information technology administration or related field

  • Minimum 3 years information security design and/or administration experience

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification (desired)
