Software Engineering Specialist

AWS specific

• Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems on AWS


• Migrating an existing application to AWS, many are quite large


• Implementing and controlling the flow of data to and from AWS


• Selecting the appropriate AWS service based on compute, data, or security requirements


• Identifying appropriate use of AWS operational best practices


• Performs systems administration functions on Amazon Web Services (AWS)


• Candidates must have experience with Hadoop and AWS

Preferences

• Ability to learn new technologies quickly (including vendor APIs)


• Strong verbal and written skills


• Team oriented individual who can work well with others


• Help in creating effective reports/dashboards for both operations and high level executives


• Write documentation to assist team members


• BS degree in Computer Science.


• Streams (Kafka, Storm) ,Hortonworks HDP ,Puppet/Chef - Big Plus
