Job Description

The IT Technical Analyst designs technical solutions for complex problems. The Technical Analyst provides technical oversight of a project solution, requirements interpretation and resources allocation. The IT Technical Analyst also defines the implementation processes and leverages industry best practices.

  • Conduct analysis of business issues and challenges

  • Effectively communicate and document business and IT information in line with agreed processes and procedures

  • Balance technology and business issues as well as communicate appropriately with both technology and business experts

  • Develop, define, and build technology bias business cases that will enable business and technology change

  • Implement workflow across the organization

  • Participate in business process and technology initiatives to improve business performance

  • Participate in implementation of new business processes and functions as a result of national and regional initiatives

  • Act as liaison and participate in defining technology solutions to solve complex, multidisciplinary business problems with long-term implications

  • Document functional specifications, conversions, upgrades, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflow

  • Translate business requirements into appropriate technical specifications

  • Work with end-users to define and execute test scenarios and ensure appropriate end user training



Qualifications:




  • Ability to take business requirements and turn them into fully vetted stored procedures and processes within SQL. Each step should be fully tested prior to passing it on for UAT.




  • Work in SQL Management Studio 2014 with the ability to create stored procedures and coding from scratch.




  • Work in Visual Studio 2012 or 2015 to create packages based on job requirements and deploy these packages to SQL Management Studio as jobs that need to be scheduled.




  • Open to amount of experience a candidate has as long as the individual has experience in SQL and Visual Studio, that is required



  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to develop a detailed work plan to ensure project success

  • Exposure to development methodologies is highly desired

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and facilitate requirements meetings. Promote consensus on a high level view of the project and drill down into the details to obtain the requirements. Perform thorough requirement interviews with project stakeholders

  • Creating process flows and diagrams necessary to assist the requirements gathering process

  • Ability to document project issues, risks, assumptions and requirements

  • Strong requirements, elicitation, and conflict resolution skills

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues

  • Ability to analyze and develop business scenarios

  • Follow policies and procedures to ensure audit and corporate compliance

  • Consistently deliver project status and time tracking regularly to management

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities

  • General PC knowledge including working knowledge of Microsoft application software (i.e., Word, Excel, Visio, Project and Access) Working knowledge of SQL preferred Working knowledge of SharePoint
