Job Title: Strategic Account Manager - Power Gen

Job Summary: Manages the sale of Basler Electric products in the Power

Generation market segment and sales territories assigned.

Manages and directs the selection and development of

independent manufacturer's rep organizations and direct sales

personnel required to support sales in the assigned market

segment and sales territories.

Reports to: Manager of Sales - PSG

Essential Duties: • Prepare sales plans to support and implement marketing

strategies.

• Prepare and submit sales budget and oversee all sales costs.

• Monitor the results of direct sales personnel and/or

independent manufacturer's rep organizations to provide

effective sales coverage.

• Maintain contacts with major accounts in the assigned market

segment.

• Provide necessary direction and training to direct sales

personnel and/or independent manufacturer's rep

organizations on appropriate Basler products selling

techniques, account strategies, and negotiating.

• Recruit, select, and terminate all sales personnel as required.

• Provide sales forecasts and participate in the determination of

market potential in the assigned market segment.

• Obtain and report marketing information for potential new

products in the assigned market segment.

• Attend and assist in trade organization functions as required.

• Coordinate and/or negotiate all purchase agreements within

the assigned market segment and sales territories.

• Supervise and direct the activity of the excitation application

specialists.

• Enter all leads, opportunities, contacts, and trip reports into

Basler's CRM system.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements: • Bachelor's degree or higher.

• Working knowledge of power systems as it pertains to the

assigned market segment.

• Minimum five years of experience in account sales or

marketing, including previous experience working with

independent Factory Sales Representatives.

• Travel up to 50% in the assigned territories



Manage and direct the selection and development of independent manufacturer's rep organizations and direct sales personnel to support sales in the assigned market segment and sales territories.
Working knowledge of power systems and power plants as it pertains to the assigned market segment is helpful; however
Candidates with experience in selling other technical products will be considered.
The position is estimated to be 80% commercial and 20% technical.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree or higher.
A minimum of 5 years of sales experience is required.
Previous experience working with independent Factory Sales Representatives is preferred.
The position includes up to 50% travel. When not traveling the position is based in Highland, IL, facility.
