Strategic Consultant-Portfolio Management

Opportunity Overview

The role of the IS PMO Portfolio Management Strategic Consultant is to define, deliver, and enhance PMO services around implementing portfolio management best practices within IS and to ensure those practices align across the firm. We're seeking an exceptionally talented and creative individual who is passionate about portfolio management, data analytics and technology - and can bring new ideas to the area. The candidate will have experience managing large portfolios of technology-related work with a proven track record of portfolio, program and/or project management success for large enterprises.

What you'll do...

  • Define, run, and enhance the "Portfolio Management" services and roadmap for IS
  • Establish metrics and roadmaps for portfolio and related resource management services and ensure those services have defined SLAs and strategic plans
  • Partner closely with IS team leaders, IS department leaders, IS directors, Firm Planning, Divisions and other executive leadership on defining and implementing portfolio management processes and tools
  • Continue to develop the IS portfolio management strategy through partnership with Firm Planning and Finance and leveraging existing PPM tools and processes including Clarity and Jive
  • Establish and maintain effective communications and relationships across departments, business areas, and vendors.
  • Ensure prudent use of the firm's financial resources.

Position Requirements

What you'll need...

  • B.S. or similar, Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing large complex portfolios with strong program/project management planning and delivery background
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience directly related to Information Systems technology preferred.
  • Understanding of PPM and Work / Capacity systems, processes and technologies. (e.g. Clarity, Program Management, Portfolio Management, MeisterPlan, Jive, etc.).
  • Creativity to drive digital transformation while executing on near-term tactical plans.
