Job Description

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain required components of infrastructure operations.
  • Research, document, and implement new technology solutions.
  • Work with partner IT organizations to develop, document, and implement solutions in a consistent, repeatable manner.
  • Monitor and respond appropriately to outages, and alerts, escalating issues as needed.
  • Maintain scripts used for reporting, monitoring and analysis.
  • Plan, document, and implement technical change requests using the Remedy system.
  • Develop and maintain detailed, shared technical process and procedure documentation, including processes for contingency operations.
  • Implement necessary patches, hotfixes, service packs, cumulative updates, and upgrades to meet security compliance and maintain application integrity.
  • Work extended hours as necessary to maintain existing or implement new technology with minimal customer impact.
  • Participate in on-call activities.
  • Travel occasionally - up to 5% the time.
  • Handle other duties as assigned.


  • 7-10 years relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise computer systems, including VMWare vSphere / ESX, SAN, enterprise backup solutions, LAN/WAN, server hardware, and storage appliances.
  • Proficient with administration and troubleshooting of complex infrastructure applications and middleware, primarily Windows application servers and web servers.
  • Extensive knowledge of operational technologies, including Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, print server, encryption, file/share permissions, common Ports, DNS, DHCP and WINS.
  • Proficient administration and troubleshooting of both basic and complex functions related to software configuration, and performance management.
  • Excellent documentation skills leveraging wiki team collaboration platforms.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and services.
  • Working knowledge of scripting products, such as Visual Basic Scripting, DOS / Windows command scripts, SQL scripts, bash, and PowerShell.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other productivity products.
  • Basic knowledge of relational and multidimensional database management systems, such as Microsoft SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • Basic knowledge of incident and change management systems, such as BMC Remedy and Atlassian JIRA.

Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
